The book begins with a description of the film Confidences trop intimes translated as Intimate Strangersand Henry James’ work, The Beast in the Junglethe latter vaguely referred to in the movie. Charmingly persuasive and daringly provocative, Intimacies is a rare opportunity to listen in on two brilliant thinkers as they explore new ways of thinking about the human psyche.
I could just enumerate a whole list of names, but I prefer only naming a few, but in my opinion the most important ones.
